Posted by Labels: CIS, Food Processing, Journal, journal of agricultureABSTRACT: Over the past decade there have been a myriad of scandals and incidents involving contamination of the Food Supply Chain which has drained consumer confidence and has had untold financial, political and health costs. Despite this, much of the processes in the Food Industry are still manual.
This paper examines the role that Sensor Networks can play in providing the industry with an automated software solution that will help prevent repeats of the contamination of the food supply chain that is occurring on a seemingly regular basis.
