Usman Thamrin, at the international seminar "Trans Borneo Biodiesel Expedition 2010" in Pontianak, said that if there is no policy, will always get the price of biodiesel more expensive than fossil energy.

Thamrin Usman presented his scientific oration titled "Development of 'Green Energy' Biodiesel as Alternative Solutions In West Kalimantan" during the inauguration.
He and several colleagues conducted a research synthesis of biodiesel from palm oil sludge of raw materials with the aid of catalytic para-toulen sulphonic acid (pTSA) which impregnated on solid matrix of kaolinite.
