Palm Oil Research Center (PPKS) is a state-owned research institutes to perform the duties and functions of research and development of all aspects of palm oil. In addition PPKS also provides various kinds of products and services as a result of R & D to support the palm oil industry.

PPKS service targets covering all industry stakeholders such as oil palm plantation companies and local state (state / public enterprises), the small farmers (smallhoders), a large plantation companies (national and foreign), government, banking, and others. In operation, PPKS implement corporate culture although the institute is an independent nonprofit. The uniqueness of this PPKS PPKS been rooted in history that began in 1916 as a research institution that is close to the industry (driven industrial research). PPKS has become a national research flagship Indonesia palm oil.

PPKS vision is to become an international research institution that is able to be the reference (center of excellence) for the national, which in its activities can be financially independent and have qualified human resources and well-being.

PPKS mission is:

    Palm Oil develop superior technology through efficient research and service activities targeted
    Support the development of national perkelapasawitan through the provision of products and services, and the concept / idea of handling the oil palm
    Encourage human resource development, job creation and preservation of natural resources / environmental

Reputation PPKS
PPKS have contributed to the development of a major Indonesian palm oil industry, either directly or indirectly. Various achievements include:

    PPKS is a manufacturer of sprouts (plant material) the first and largest in Indonesia (and the world). Of about 370 million oil palm trees that grow in Indonesia, 80% came from the research results PPKS.
    PPKS has recognition / accreditation of international and national levels, namely: ISO 9001:2008, KNAPPP, KAN, Bakrie Award, and Award.
