Argentina closing soya prices and trends on Friday.
Soya prices in Rosario ended at between 1,245 pesos and 1,290 pesos per tonne ($298-$300) compared with between 1,230 and 1,285 pesos in the previous session.
Trade was almost nil heading into the holiday weekend.
Soyabean futures at the Chicago Board of Trade in 2011 posted their first annual decline in three years, falling 13.7 percent on slowing US soya exports and a softening world economy, traders said.
The front contract unofficially closed up 15-1/2 cents at $12.03 per bushel on Friday, ending the year on a strong note as traders covered short positions and worried about South American crop weather.
In Rosario, soyabeans for May delivery, priced in US dollars, fell $1 to $289 per tonne.
