Rs 2 billion supply chain programme to be initiated (Urdu)

Punjab agriculture and livestock departments are initiating supply chain management programme worth rupees two billion under which 15 selected products will be brought to the level of international standard.
According to official sources, here on Sunday, the purpose of starting the program is to ensure demand of 15 products in the international market.
The storage, packing, grading and transportation of different products do not match with the international requirements, they added.
They continued that 3,000 farms including 2,250 agriculture and 750 livestock farms, would be imparted training to obtain Global Gap Certification under the said programme so that quality of 15 products could be made according to the international standard.
There are only 20 global gap certification farms in Pakistan, including 18 of mangoes and two of kinnows, whose production is being exported, they concluded.

انہوں نے مزید کہا کے تین ہزار فارم جن میں 2250 زراعتی اور 750 مویشی فارم شامل ہیں ، کو بین الا قوامی سرٹیفکیٹ حاصل کرنے کے لیے تربیت دی جاے گی
اس وقت پاکستان میں کل ایسے 20 فارم کام کر رہے ہیں جن کے پاس بین الاقوامی سرٹیفکیٹ ہیں . ان میں 18 آم اور 2 کینو کے باغات ہیں
