I've been researching more information about the Kentia Palm and its history. What an amazing plant. Anyone who owns one should definitely want to learn more about it.
Kentias thrived as decorative plants late in the 1800's and early 1900's. They were featured in beautiful display in one of the 1st Class Reception Rooms on the RMS Titantic. The Detroit Auto Show featured them as did the exclusive Jefferson Hotel in their Japanese Palm Garden.
