Indonesia's cocoa industry before the end of 2009 experienced a dead faint, has now grown and able to compete again. "We were reported by several national companies, that are already happening right now is to recover the return of the national cocoa industry that some time ago had not operate because of lack of raw materials," he said.
In 2009 the last until the end of the year, the cocoa industry production decreased because many industries are not operating due to the difficulty of raw materials. Noted there are only six companies capable of producing a total of 150 thousand tons of processed cocoa.
According to Mahendra, the current all the cocoa industry has begun to operate, because it has been getting the raw materials that were previously difficult to obtain. "Many are operating, then the operation has also been getting full utilization, and then had planned expansion," said Mahendra. He also predicted that the end of this year's production figures will move to reach 200 thousand tons and in 2011 will reach 300 thousand tons.
